folder icon 4 Excel Marksheet - Revised POA (Latest Version)

Message from the author ...

Just to help you to quickly identify the latest version (as of 2010), in case an educator asks - "2010 Revised POA" will appear on top left hand corner of the mark sheet, below the subject name - this cannot be changed!

There are quite a number of changes from what you have been using previously. The main points are listed below:

1. The mark sheets initially will only accommodate one page of learners. (This was done to keep the file size small and prevent educators from printing 20 pages!). If the class or grade is larger than what initially appears on the sheet, the educator MUST FIRST click on "Add rows at the end" button, then type in the number of extra rows needed to match those in the class or grade.

2. Educators now have the ability to sort by name, merit or class (provided that the required information has been filled in). They can click on these buttons as many times as they wish to get the sort order they want.

3. To add a learner(s), simply type the learner(s) name at the bottom of the list and click "Sort Names" to pull the learner(s) into alphabetical order. To delete a learner(s), simply delete the learner(s) name, class and raw scores, then click "Sort Names". NB! You CANNOT insert nor delete a row (or delete the number in front of the learners' name or anything in the shaded section).

4. For the grade 12s, an ORAL mark sheet will automatically be generated as educators capture oral marks in the main mark sheet tab. NB! Educators CANNOT change anything on the ORAL mark sheet - all changes must be done on the original mark sheet. The Oral mark sheet will help reduce the double data capture for oral moderation.

5. To accommodate all the possible combinations that the Revised program offers (and not have 10 different versions of the mark sheet), where choices need to be made, a small red triangle is displayed in the top right hand side of the cell. Simply click on the cell to read the comment and follow the instructions!

6. If a red screen appears when opening the mark sheets, simply follow the instructions that will appear on the screen (can be printed if needed).

7. Finally, there should be no need for anyone to ask for a password to do something that they can legitimately do - see points 1-6.

Sorry if this seems like too much detail. Once you get up and running it should hopefully be obvious what needs to done. I am also providing the info, as you will very often be the first line of support to your educators :-)

I will be willing to provide support via email, if needed. Things tend to get very stressful once final moderation begins, so it is important that educators get into using the mark sheets asap to help alleviate the huge data capturing task. Besides, the mark sheets will give useful feedback if the data is captured throughout the year :-)

Regards
